Mine took about 3 weeks to become available but I did get it changed over to the correct page.

Same problem here, anybody got lucky in the mean time? Does Facebook refresh after a certain time? How long does it take?

I have the same issue as Beth. I changed my profile name but it still says the old name is not available.

Why is ti that my URL only works when people are logged in? Any advise.

I made the same mistake as your client. I got my personal page labeled as my fan page url. I got it fixed (thank you!) but now when I go to assign the vanity url to the fan page, Facebook tells me that url is not available.
Is there a refresh time on this feature?

I’ve got 25 fans, and have been able to set my personal vanity URL, but for some reason the “Set username for your pages” link is not there. Any thoughts?
